Essien looking forward to Chelsea's American Trip

 Multifunctional black stars and Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien considers his club pre-season trip to the United States as a good opportunity to contribute to the club.

The 29-year-old missed out during the first half of last season due to an injury on his cruciate ligament last July.
This unfortunate incident caused him his position in the starting line-up of the blues after returning to play last January.


Essien quoted that  “It is hard during the season if you miss pre-season,and so it is good to start and hopefully finish the whole pre-season. So I am looking forward to that and we will see what happens”.
  Essien  joined Chelsea from Lyon- Bastia in 2005 for £24.4 million. Wishing him the best of luck...... 

China Welcomes Didier Drogba [Receives The No.11 Jersey]

 

 Ivory Coast and Chelsea FC forward Didier Drogba finally drops down Chinese Club. Shanghai Shenhua FC today July 14h. Didier Drogba will be receiving an amount of $300,000 per-week.

The picture above shows Drogba with the club president at a press conference in Shanghai earlier today.

He said "Moving to China to join Shanghai Shenhua was about the challenge, not the money".
I think there is more to come from him with that statement.

Footballer Seydou Keita Leaves Barcalona To Chiniese Club

Barcelona Midfielder Seydou Keita Signed a 2.5year  deal with Chiniese Football Club "Dalian Aerbin". According to the report, he would earn about €15million in the deal.
I think now is the time for them to earn more and quit the big clubs, because there retirement age is on the way, just like Eto, Anelka who also found their way to the Arab clubs.  It a good choice though!

Wales Football Manager Gary Speed Commits Suicide at 42

Gary Andrew Speed, the 42-year-old manager of the Wales national team and former Welsh football player (He was captain of the Wales national football team until he retired from international football in 2004 ), was this morning found hanged after an apparent suicide at his home in Cheshire. Police say there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Speed, born in Mancot, Flintshire, had appeared on BBC1's Football Focus show on Saturday afternoon, just hours before his death. He was a married father of two...

Seemed like a guy who had everything going for him, why would he kill himself? But like William Shakespeare wrote - there's no art to find the mind's construction in the face. May his soul RIP!
